How To Guide: Using Sokikom to Prepare for SBAC

Testing season is stressful for both teachers and students, but don’t worry we’re here to make it a little easier on you! In case you missed our webinar, here is a summary of how to prepare your students for end of year testing.

Step 1: Mastery Reports

The first step to preparing your students for end of year testing is to discover which topics they have previously struggled with. Sokikom’s mastery reports make it easy to see how well your student grasped each Common Core standard. Check out our previous blog post on How to Use Sokikom Reports for more information on using the reports.

Step 2: Curriculum Navigator

Once you see which standards your students are struggling with, check out the Curriculum Navigator to learn more about that specific standard. You will be able to read a description of what that specific standard expects students to understand. You will also see the types of questions Sokikom asks students to help them master that standard.

Step 3: Assignments

Now that you know which standards your students need extra help on, you can assign them to your students. One great Sokikom feature is that you can assign a standard to the entire class, or a few individual students. When you are preparing your students for SBAC, you will want to assign any and all standards each specific student didn’t fully grasp. Keep in mind, students aren’t able to play multi-player games until they have completed all of their assignments so you’ll want to hold off on a multi-player tournament until after the SBAC.

Happy testing!
